My name is Jelani Ameer, creatively known as Noah Bility, and I’m an NYC native art director and archivist.
My archive of imagery highlights those within the diaspora, as a way of bending the skewed lens through which it is viewed back into shape. Boiling everything down to its core elements, my work encapsulates two concepts: beauty and truth. Aiming for the convergence of the two, but always hitting at least one.
My work has been featured in Google, Huffington Post, and BuzzFeed. I have assisted and worked alongside the likes of Ed Maximus and Rog + Bee Walker of Paper Monday. Through collaboration with these other great artists, with shoots ranging from Essence to Vogue Italia, I have been expanding on this ever-growing list of experiences to apply to future projects.
